TaxSlayer Online Practice Lab

You can use a "practice" version of TaxSlayer Online to complete tax forms in conjunction with your certification tests.   Access to the Practice Lab is available through this link https://vita.taxslayerpro.com/IRSTraining/en/Account/Access


When you get to the TaxSlayer Practice Website it will look like this:



The password is TRAINPROWEB. This password is the same for every volunteer.








When you arrive at the Sign In screen for your own personal TaxSlayer account, (shown at left), click on Create Account if this is your first time at this site. If this is a repeat visit, fill in the username and password you chose and click on Sign In.


N.B. If you have forgotten your username and/or password, note the links at the very bottom of this dialogue box.

Training Videos and Manuals for TaxSlayer  Once you have successfully logged in you will see the following screen with lessons on the use of TaxSlayer divided into categories (Sections 1-6). Each of the subheadings represents one video lesson. If you wish to have the subject matter printed instead of or in addition to the video lessons, click on "Attachments" in the left margin of each video lesson, and the lessons are in written form for you to download and/or print.


Also note, that if you would like to go directly to the Practice Lab, the button near the top of the page Go to Practice Area does exactly that.

Ready to take the certification test(s)?  You can arrive there via the Link & Learn Tax Lessons pages, or you can also click here to go directly to the testing site. You will need to set up an account if you haven't done so before.  Instructions for setting up the account are available for viewing by clicking hereN.B.  BE SURE to record the Login Name and Password you select, as you will be using those each time you need to access the testing site, both for this year and in future years!
